These are just a few of the things that spring to mind when we think of the EU´s third largest member, France, the home of elegance. There is certainly no lack of options available to explore when you visit France. The country´s13 regions all have something to offer any”bon vivant”! Explore the capital, Paris – City of Light – where a trace of Chanel perfume wafts by on the breeze, where the food is excellent and the atmosphere romantic. Treat yourself to exclusive designer items in the trendy boutiques of the Rue St. Honoré, or satisfy your sweet tooth with pastries or macaroons from Ladurée. Immerse yourself in great works of art beneath the glass pyramid of the Louvre, or be entranced by the large, water lily paintings of Claude Monet that adorn the walls of the Musée de L’Orangerie along the Seine.”

Gastronomy in France

“The gastronomic meal” is an important part of French culture. In France, as is the custom, families and friends gather together to mark important occasions, and to celebrate the great traditions of French cuisine. It is also one of the reasons that UNESCO has declared the French ”gastronomic meal” a ”world intangible heritage”. Experience it for yourself – and be inspired to get into the true French spirit on your journey…vive la France!
